what a fantastic restaurant! ,located in a residential area, off the tourist track the restaurant is clean and well decorated,the food is exceptional and the wine list extensive,  the staff made us welcome , I would certainly recommend!

Charming, cozy, traditional restaurant. Super helpful staff. Large healthy salads and really great grilled meats. Fado singers included! Would definitely eat there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed dining at No Tacho.  The personnel were very friendly, attentive and best of all informative.  They not only wanted you to enjoy your meal they also explained the ingredients and derivation of each dish.  The first two courses were delicious , the wine was an ideal pairing and dessert, a great way to finish the meal.  And not to forget the after dinner liqueur which was No Tacho&rsquo;s way of saying thank you for dining with us.  A wonderful evening and one you should not miss!

This restaurant is a treasure located in a quiet back alley/ courtyard of the old part of Coimbra.  It has the highest rating for restaurants in this locality and I can see why!  It was so good I went back on a subsequent evening.The first night I enjoyed tiger shrimps with char-grilled vegetables and potato millifoglie.  Dessert was a cheese cake with raspberries and strawberries.  The second night was perfectly grilled Angus steak and vegetables followed by chocolate bomb dessert.The most outstanding aspect is the attention to perfection shown by the staff.  They make sure everything, from comfort of the guests to the dishes served, is just right.
